Day 08: A bad habit:



I could easily do a 30 day challenge on my bad habits alone. It was hard to choose, but in the end this one is fairly iconic. I spend way too much money way too easy. If it's shiny and I want it and I can somehow afford it? MINE. That is how I ended up with these gaudy shoes.

Yes, we've been having all kinds of fun middle-class guilt over ditching/donating stuff. We've gone with a combination of recycling, donating to local charity shops, leaving furniture for people who'd like it to bag, donating to a lady down the road who makes a living from doing car boot sales (do you have these? Our version of American garage sales), and a trip to the dump for the really terrible stuff. Right, back to the grind!

We have jumble sales but I'm too lazy for that kind of thing (and I don't have a car! Very convenient) so I'll just have to find someone willing to come pick it up. It's mostly books at this point.
